Here are the details for our Choirbolical workshop to start the year.

DATE: Saturday 3rd February

VENUE: De Molay House Margaret Street (next to Parkhouse Cafe)

TIME: Registration: 8.30am /Session One: 9.00am / Morning Tea: 10.15am (regulars – please bring a plate of food to share) / Session Two: 10.45am / Finish: 12.15pm

COST: $25  Pre-payment preferred  –  BSB 633000  Account 120540877 Tag your payment with your NAME. Fee includes all music and a wonderful morning of singing with Caroline Ryan who we are welcoming to Choirbolical in 2024.                                                

New singers are encouraged and most welcome to come along 🙂

It has been a long time between sings BUT we will be back soon! We are welcoming Caroline Ryan to the role of Choirbolical Music Director and look forward to making music with her along with Deborah Meagher as our accompanist.

VOCE – will begin planning our year next Tuesday 23rd Jan – 6.30 pm. This meeting will be held at Eileen’s place. All are welcome – please let Eileen know your attendance on 0407636497 and she will give you address details. Many thanks to Elspeth who has been doing Choirbolical’s finances over the last couple of years and to Rob who has been the back up. As the position is vacant – please consider if you are able to take on this roll.

FEBRUARY WORKSHOP – first event for the year is our Welcome Workshop on Saturday morning February 3rd at DeMolay. This is a good opportunity to invite new singers to come along and try choir. Details to follow next week. Plus start marking your calendars for the 1st & 3rd Tuesdays in school terms.

A very happy Christmas and New Year to all. We’ve had a great year of singing with Natalie, but for those who may not have caught up with news we sadly said our farewells at the final concert for the year. Natalie in true Choirbolical tradition, brought a sense of fun and community to our music making. Please go to repertoire if you have a login to enjoy watching our final concert and thank you to Rob for putting together the You Tube.

In other news – we will be welcoming Caroline Ryan as our musical director in 2024 and look forward to her joining us with her multi-talented musical skills. Deborah will also continue as our accompanist next year which we are very fortunate to have. We are set to have lots of fun in 2024!

This Tuesday 5th Dec
Party – 6pm – bring a plate to share and own cold drinks to party out on the lawn. Tea and coffee provided. (Voce folk – if you can, come a little earlier to set up)

Concert – 7pm – Bring all your music. Let’s enjoy our last sing for the year with Natalie along with Deborah.

This Tuesday is a rehearsal 6.45pm for a 7pm start. Bring all your music as we sing through 2023 repertoire with Natalie and Deborah and prepare for our final CONCERT next rehearsal Tuesday 5th December.
NEWS – for those who were not at our last rehearsal we are sadly saying farewell to Natalie as our musical director and to Deborah as our accompanist due to their many other commitments. We have had a wonderful year making music with Natalie, so do come and join us for the end of the year to say farewell.
VOCE – our organising group, are working hard looking for someone who would like to join us as our musical director in 2024. All are welcome to stay after this week’s rehearsal to hear how that search is going.

A friendly reminder that we have a rehearsal this coming Tuesday – 1st of the month. Bring along all music from this year as we polish up songs to sing for family and friends at our Summer breakup on December 5th.

Singers, please arrive around 1.20pm to warm up and have a mini- rehearsal with Natalie prior to the concert start time of 2pm. ? Details of venue below.

This Tuesday 17th is our final rehearsal before the charity concert on Sunday 29th October 7pm. See the poster in a previous post for details.
VOCE will also meet at 6.15pm if you would like to join this working group that help the smooth running of our choir.
