Tues 9th Oct – 7-9pm – special rehearsal with Astrid to prepare for BIG SING (Bring munchies & stay for a cuppa)

Tues 23rd Oct – rehearsal with Margaret (usual time)

A workshop with Astrid (of Astrid & the Asteroids fame) will be held at our usual rehearsal venue – Uniting Church Hall in Stenner St near the corner of Stenner and Ramsey St on SATURDAY 12th MAY. Starting time is 9am so please arrive around 8.30 for a 9am start. We will break around 11am for morning tea/brunch/lunch and aim to finish at 1pm. Please bring a plate of sweet or savoury food to share for the mid break. Tea and coffee supplied.

Welcome to the new year of Choirbolical singing together in 2012. Rehearsals begin on  Tues 31st January with a cuppa to follow (bring some munchies).  Please find all rehearsal dates listed under REHEARSALS.

Choirbolical is celebrating 10 years of community singing on Sunday 6th November, 2011. Hopefully you will be able to join us for a relaxed and enjoyable afternoon of music.

. Weekly rehearsals planned when we return to choir on Tuesday October 4th. ready for 2 EVENTS: Big Sing – 30/10/11 and Choirbolical Anniversary Afternoon Sing,Concert & Dinner- 6/10/11

This year, the Queensland Kodály Choir will be holding its annual BIG SING on Sunday October 30. With special guest Fay White and well known local musician James Cuskelly, choristers will participate in two workshop sessions and learn materials to be performed in the concert later in the day.

Choirbolical will be performing the Australian premier of “Companion in Solitude” written by our own musical director Margaret Muller.

When? Sunday, October 30 2011, 8:30am – 4:30pm

Where? Stuartholme School (Birdwood Tce, Toowong)

How much? $20 (full registration) $10 (Concession/student/unwaged)

Morning tea and lunch included.

Concert: 3:00pm – open to the public
